How would you get university students to get more involved with sustainability programs?

I am working on a project for university. I need to think of ways to get students involved in sustainability programs. Some of the programs that are currently in place are recycling, composting, bike workshops. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get more students and staff involved with this programs. Also, does anyone have any suggestions on programs that can help the school be more sustainable.

1. its not exactly getting the students involved but could you get managment to switch to renewable sources for electricity
